May the 4th be with you!

HAPPY STAR WARS DAY EVERYONE!!! This one was inspired by some work I saw at Disneyland by Jason Scott Campbell. I loved the graphic quality he did so I tried to emulate it. Not a fan of Luke on this, but I like how Vader looks.

Black and White Inked - PAQUIAO!!!

Alright ladies and Gents, My pinoys and my pinays haha, here is a cleaned up version of mr Paquiao. Tried my best to emulate that Jim Lee inking style here. Up next, a colored version of this. The black and white looks pretty sweet though. Wonder if anyone would buy black and white prints of this, I love the graphic quality to this style.

WIP - Paquiao!!!

Alright Guys, After watching Manny Paquiao's win on Saturday i've been wanting to do a sketch. My artist friend's probably recognize the style I chose to do this piece. I decided to try and emulate one of my comic book illustrator influences, Jim Lee! So this is a work in progress, but this black and white looks pretty cool I could see it as a t-shirt. But stay tuned for a full colored version. Hopefully it turns out BA enough that I could actually hang it up somewhere.

Now if you want my opinion on Mr Paquiao keep reading, otherwise I hope you enjoyed this drawing.

After watching the fight on Saturday, I realized not many National Pilipino days are left. Meaning Paquiao, eventhough very impressive, is aging and probably should retire within the next few years.
With that said, there is plenty of gas left in this athletes tank. Watching him fight was great to see. No one ever talks about Paquiao as a defensive boxer because he's mostly known for his brawler in fighter abilities, but watching him turn his should to block strikes from Bradley lefts, and using his left hand to block incoming shots from Bradley's rights was so impressive, it leaves me to believe Paquiao's reflexes are as sharp as ever. He also seems to be boxing with more caution and not so reckless (which some will argue it's because of the Marquez's knockout, or it makes his fights much more boring to watch). I argue however, that his boxing skills have improved with age. Boxing isn't just about brawling there's a lot of strategy involved just like any other sport. I hope he doesnt retire soon because I'm going to miss the National Pilipino day potlucks, but he's definitely have a few good fights left.

R.I.P. Ultimate Warrior

Well this was sad and unfortunate news this week. If i still watched WWF maybe I would be in even more shock because the Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and made an appearance on Monday night RAW just this past weekend. Before I got into comic books these high flying muscle men, were probably the Super Heroes of my childhood. If you weren't a fan of the hulkster, then you were definitely a fan of this guy. He was one of those wrestlers that never failed to get you amped when you watched him wrestle. Well hope you're wrestling up there Warrior, the professional wrestling world isn't the same without you. Here's a painting I did today as a tribute to the ULTIMATE WARRIOR.

Winston Zeddmore

I had fun with the last drawing I did I decided, the ghostbusters needed to be completed. So here's Winston Zeddmore, Mr Ernie Hudson. Yea I know, I always used to call him the black guy cause I couldn't recall his name, or by his real name. I actually had to look up his last name so I could put it on the patch... bet you didnt know HA! Hope you like

R.I.P Harold Ramis

Hey Everyone, It's been a while since I posted something, been busy this new year especially with the wedding. Stay tuned I will be posting some things I've been working on for the big day. But today when i woke up I found out Harold Ramis passed. For those of you who do not know.... he was Egon Spengler from the Ghostbusters. He was also the writer and director of movies like the ghostbuster, and groundhog day. I was really hoping that the Ghostbusters 3 sequel would happen but after Ramis' untimely death it would unlikely happen. Here is my tribute to him that I drew today.
