AVENGERS! Wanda Maximoff - Scarlet Witch

Hey Guys,

sorry it took awhile, been busy the past week. Just came back from disneyland... bummed that the 60th anniversary stuff wasn't up. But I will definitely post some photos of disneyland that I liked. But I digress, here is the next Avengers member the sister of Pietro and a MUTANT not this "enhanced" bs. Wanda Maximoff The Scarlet Witch. She's pretty much an OP character in the comics so they dumbed her down a lot in the MCU but hey, still loved the movie.
I didn't want to go with her sexy outfit so I did the dress with a headband rather than a mask/crown. I also didnt want too much red so I colored her gloves black and her boots to balance it out. I had so much trouble drawing this, maybe because she's female. I have to draw more females :D

I had so many problems with this character. The initial sketch.... the proportions, at one point the arm length was a head and a half long. (which is completely wrong) Her torso was really squashed at one point, and the legs looked JLO booty huge. I have no idea what was going on. But I'm glad I got it to a finish. Otherwise I would've gone nuts trying to fix it.

AVENGERS! Quicksilver Pietro Maximoff

Alright next up. Pietro Maximoff... also known to most as Magnetos Son, twin brother to Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), and most of all QUICKSILVER! Now since these were made to honor the move that came out last week I gotta say one thing and no it's not a spoiler for you guys who havent watched the movie but... "Didnt see that coming!"
I liked the look they did with quick silver in the movie so I sort of took pieces from the ultimate version and his original costume with a little idea from the movie version. I had so much trouble getting the run gesture down. I'm not even sure if I got a good run pose down. But at least I got it to a finish. Hope you like.
Final Color. I didn't want to go all powdered blue so I did what they did similar to the movie and made him have darker pants.

Took me so many revisions just to get the pose right.
Check out this initial sketch. I completely twisted and contorted the body but something just didn't feel right even though the pose looked dynamic. I probably broke his spine in this pose.

AVENGERS! Natasha Romanoff (Romanova) Black Widow

Next up is Hawkeye's partner in crime (or Shield) The assassin known as Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff or Natalia Romanova.

I had a little difficulty doing this drawing. I havent drawn women in awhile and a bunch of initial sketches she looked either too masculine or really skinny. If you look at the sketch at the bottom she's way too petite she feels like a 15-16 year old. Hopefully I will do more female drawings or female superheroes in the future to fix the issues I had with this. But I definitely had fun working on this drawing. I wanted to leave the leather look in the comics because I wanted to attempt that kind of texture, rather than a matte looking Kevlar suit. Enjoy!

she kind of reminds me of the actress that played Jean Grey in the first X-Men live action film. It might have been an accident but I wanted her to be thin and stealth like.

AVENGERS!!! Hawkeye

Ok, so I finally saw Avengers today and loved it!!! Lived up to it's hype and moves pretty darn fast for a 2 and half hour movie. Definitely would love to check out the directors 3 hr cut of the film. So I would like finish the team that was featured in the movie. So starting off the supporting cast (to the main four) Clint Barton. I wanted to stay true to the original comic costume with some of the updated costume ideas with the current one from the movie. The marvel cinematic universe doesn't really delve into the idea that all these heroes have "secret identities". So a lot of the heroes in the movies have no masks. But MASKS ARE COOL.

AVENGERS WEEK! CAPTAIN AMERICA

Alright the Avengers is out. GO SEE IT!!!! I tried to last night but I could not find parking at a theatre that had about 10 showings that evening haha. Oh well.... I will attempt Sunday but in the meantime I want to continue with this. At least get through all the characters in the upcoming film. But here is the leader of the Avengers. CAPTAIN MERICA!

I really love how the shield turned out here.

I wanted to ink the scales on his chest but I was going for more of a military armor look. I'll probably do another where I have to ink the scales but that should be fun :/

Here is the rough cleanup and the initial sketch of the drawing. I originally had his head facing his shield like he's going to attack with it. But I put all the characters together and it was better that his head was turned based on the placement I put him in relation to the other superheroes. Stay tuned to see how that turns out.
